The event sees the best swimmers from around the country go head-to-head for the national title and 17-18yrs competing for age-group titles. It is also the pinnacle long course racing opportunity within New Zealand, so the best from New Zealand will compete on the national stage.
Swimmers must achieve the set qualification times to compete (see SNZ event page) and only results from officiated meets can be used as qualifying times.
